First Bruckenthal Records Hans Christian Heinz has found the allegedly first Bruckenthal records still to exist. He provided us with the documents that we make available to you. Famous Personality With Bruckenthal Roots He is probably the most famous descendant with Bruckenthal roots: Canadian politician Edward Richard Schreyer. Schreyer served as Manitoba premier from 1969 until 1977 and as Governor General of Canada from 1979 thru 1984. Between 1984 and 1988 he was High Commissioner to Australia and further Oceanic nations. His ancestors on the mother’s side came from Bruckenthal. The Story of The Blue Milk Can See the blue milk can? Think it is an ordinary can? Far wrong! This is probably the world’s most widely traveled milk can. Here’s the can’s story Evelyn Wolfer from Orgeon told us:
In June 1906 it came on ship to America, with Bart and Katherine Wolanski it came to Hankinson, North Dakota. Later it was given to Anna Wolanski York in Salem, Oregon. Later it was given to sister Olga Wolanski Gottfried of Sunburst, Monata. Finally, in 1990, it was given to daughter Evelyn Gottfried Woelfer of McMinville, Oregon. Just a little milk can....
